At MATTER and SHAPE 2025, cc-tapis presents the new REBUS rug collection, a creation by India Mahdavi that redefines the boundaries between art and design. Through geometric patterns and a distinctive color palette, the collection reveals a visual language that is both cryptic and playful, blending elements that provoke thought and engage spatial perception.

India Mahdavi, an architect, designer, and scenographer based in Paris, has established herself as one of the most innovative creators in the world of design. Since 2000, her studio has developed a multifaceted body of work, exploring the fields of architecture, interior design, scenography, furniture, and object design—all orchestrated from rue Las Cases in Paris.
Her distinctive aesthetic has been showcased in renowned institutions such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and she has been honored with prestigious awards, including Designer of the Year from Wallpaper, Elle Decor International, AD España, and Architektur und Wohnen.

Her collaboration with cc-tapis on the REBUS collection is yet another testament to her ability to bridge different creative worlds. These new rugs, crafted through the art of hand-knotting, create a dialogue between tradition and contemporary aesthetics, inviting us to discover new dimensions in interior design.
