Botteganove is both a creative project and a laboratory where ancient artisan know-how meets contemporary aesthetic research. Nove, a small location in the Province of Vicenza, is known throughout the world for its artistic ceramics and until a few years ago was a hive of industry buzzing with workshops and small factories. It was the desire to save what remained of traditional manufacturing that convinced us to stay local—among the clays, the moulds and the furnaces.
The plasterwork items, decorated with iridescent materials and gold leaf or highlighted by the soft opacity of the porcelain are born from the evolution of ceramic mosaics, which we have reinterpreted along with our designers.
Each piece is handmade and decorated, following traditional techniques, by artisans willing and able to dialogue with today’s design culture in order to give life to designs, which have both the uniqueness of works of art and a contemporary sense of beauty.
